Prevention Policy and Projects Manager - Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service (REF: PPPM:CFRS)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Policy and Projects Manager within the Prevention Department at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The Policy and Projects Manager will play a key role within the Prevention department to continually develop and take forward activities in support of regional and national campaigns and projects. In addition, advising Service Managers and external stakeholders on potential changes, developments and risks in relation to fire safety and writing and updating policies and procedures instrumental in improving governance.

The post holder will collaborate with Corporate Communications to support the Services’ and other national safety campaigns, identifying and communicating vital safety messages to high-risk target audiences in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.

The post holder will also be responsible for identifying, trialling and evaluating new and emerging, assistive technologies, that will make residents safer in their homes.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of writing technical policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Social Marketing and a track record of successful campaign delivery
  • Knowledge of government policy and decision making processes.
