Project Assistants - Domestic Detection

NFCC have recently combined Assistive Technology (AT) into the Dometic detection workstream under NFCC Lead Jim Bywater. More information about domestic detection and AT can be found in NFCC's position statement 

To support the development and delivery of the AT work we are looking for individuals from the Fire and Rescue Service to become involved as Project Assistants.

These roles would be suitable for anyone with an existing knowledge of AT and keen to become involved, influence and learn more about the work of NFCC. You would work as part of a small team and support the work of the NFCC Lead and is an opportunity to help shape the direction and detail of the work areas. The specific areas we are looking to cover are :

New technology – Smoke alarm specific
Be involved in development / Share information with new technologies (Project assistant)
New technology – Wider detection (fire specific)
Such as cooker switch off / cooking related alarms (Project assistant)
Information share and development work (Project assistant)
